Canteen

Easts Hockey operates a largely volunteer operated licensed canteen. As a non-for profit sporting club we look to our player, parent and supporter base to run this facility.

The canteen is generally open during the following times;

• March to September; weekends, Friday nights and most other training nights.
• Other months; during summer hockey

Given we draw upon our volunteer base to operate this each team is rostered to operate the Canteen and BBQ for their respective divisions. With out this rostering system the canteen would not operate and we would not be able to provide this facility to you.

When it comes around to your turn to do canteen duty your manager will notify us to use your Volunteer Levy to cover your shift. This then gets paid to a young “Paid Volunteer” to do your shift for you. All of our paid Volunteers are young Easts hockey players who want part-time jobs but find it hard to get one around sporting commitments.

The clubs canteen food includes hamburgers and other BBQ fare (when operating) barista coffee, sports and soft drinks, confectionary. The club also holds a limited liquor license with a range of alcoholic beverages available..
