The Boy's Division competes in the Brisbane Junior Hockey Association competition that runs from April until September.

  • Under 7 Hockey

  • Under Age Hockey

Under 7 Hockey

  • Boys and girls aged between 4 and 6 as on 1st January are eligible to play in the competition.
  • The competition consists of teams playing each other on a rotational basis with a focus on participation and skill development.
  • Teams of 6 players play on a reduced field with modified rules to introduce them to the game and the concepts of playing a team sport.
  • Games and skills sessions will be played Friday evenings at the Easts Hockey Tiger Turf, Clem Jones Centre, Carina.
  • Pre Season training takes place on the grass at Easts Hockey Tiger Turf, Clem Jones Centre, Carina from 6pm on Thursday evenings.

Note: Girls can play in the boy's competition up to the under 13 age group and therefore are able to start a year earlier if they wish

Under Age Hockey

  • The competition consists of Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, J competition.
  • The age of the player as on 1 January determines the age group that is applicable.
  • Under 9 games and skills sessions will be held on Friday evenings with the under 7's at the Easts Hockey Tiger Turf, Clem Jones Centre, Carina.
  • Training takes place on Thursday evenings on the grass at Easts Hockey Tiger Turf, Clem Jones Centre, Carina.
  • Under 13 fixtures are played on Saturday mornings either on grass or on one of the following the artificial surfaces - Easts Hockey Tiger Turf, Clem Jones Centre, Carina; on one of two water based artificial surfaces at The State hockey Centre, Colmslie; at Burringbar Park, Chermside; or at the Redcliffe Hockey Club.
  • Training takes place on Thursday evenings either on the grass at or on the artificial surface at Easts Hockey Tiger Turf, Clem Jones Centre, Carina.
  • The J competition is for players under 17 years of age. Teams are nominated into one of three J grades by clubs based upon ability. Players of varying ages will be selected to play in the one team based upon their ability.
  • J fixtures are played on either Saturday or Sunday mornings on one of the artificial surfaces as descibed above.
  • Training takes place on Thursday evenings on the artificial surface at Easts Hockey Tiger Turf, Clem Jones Centre, Carina
  • Double header fixtures may be played during the season.

For Under 7 and 9 Hockey - Pre Season training takes place on the grass at Clem Jones Centre - Carina at 6pm on Thursday evenings. For the season proper - games and skills sessions will be held at the Clem Jones Centre on Friday evenings - time to be confirmed. For Under Age Hockey - unless otherwise advised pre Season training takes place on the grass or artificial turf at the Clem Jones Centre Carina at 6.00pm on Thursday evenings.
